Joules my way. Horse Print Navy Blouse

I love Joules children's clothes, however women's clothes are not entirely my style. Don't get me wrong they are lovely, but just a bit too "pretty" for me. Like I say just not my thing but all the same lovely!

So when I was browsing Next online the other day this top's print caught my eye I was shocked it was Joules. When it arrived the material (crepey like) and neckline (gathered with a tie- shudder) I still was unsure but I was determined to make it edgy! So here we go this is my take on a pretty Joules top on one chilly Sunday walk to the park and you know what I love it. I can't bring myself to tie it in a bow as that's too "pretty" for me but it doesn't bother me as much as I thought.

Jeans- Last season Next however these are very similar.
Top- Joules
Boots- New Look
Jacket - Topshop
Necklace - River Island

Just goes to show it's all about how you style the outfit.

Brrr!

Headscarf and Elephant Print Tapered Trousers

Random title right? Let me explain further.

Headscarves are from now on "the" next accesory to growing out my pixie crop! They make it look more fun and interesting than it really is, plus I look like I have a style!

Now for the elephants.... look closely at my trousers and you will see why the mention. These harem-come-tapered trousers caught my eye for being a bit different to boring black.

Today I spent the longest time I've spent in a long time trying on clothes, great ones at that and it's all in the name of charity! Next Thursday eve I shall be taking part in a fashion show for the fab girls at Chloe James St Albans. Find them on Facebook and Twitter for more info.

Top- Topshop Fleck Oversized Top
Trousers- Primark!

Not a Biker Jacket... A Boucle Biker

I live in Biker jackets, I love them. It doesn't mean I don't like any other kind of jacket, I just don't feel right in them. So I was quite pleased to have found this cross of a Boucle and a Biker in the Primark sale. Reduced from £26 to just £10 I took the chance. Great to wear over any t-shirt or vest, jeans of any sort, maxi dresses and skirts. Much more versatile and wearable than you would think!

The thread in mine has a hint of neon to it and there are enough black details to it to make me not feel too dressed up.

Maxi skirt- Topshop
Vest- New Look
Converse
Socks- Topshop
Jacket- Primark
Necklace- Topshop although one very similar in Matalan

George @ ASDA Graphic Print Maxi Dress

When the sun shines one of the first outfits most women think of is a maxi dress and I'm no different. George at Asda have some great choices including a lovely dip dye option that my step mum hunted for me. The only problem with Asda is when they get it right you have to move quick to grab the bargain. The quality is great and they wash up really well, so you can be sure to get lots of wear from them. Last year I fell in love with this option....

Dress- George
Jacket- Topshop
Boots- New Look

Although the temps hit 20 degrees yesterday a maxi dress can be great for when I
it's still not quite scorching temps, just wear with a cami vest, biker jacket and ankle boots. That is the great thing about a graphic print like this, it's easier to give it a edgy look with a biker jacket and ankle boots. When it warms up bangles and wedges are another great option.

These are some more great offerings from ASDA...

The Relaxed Skinny Jeans from Next

Relaxed skinnys are everywhere right now and I wanted to see what the fuss was about! Perfectly comfy jeans without feeling too squashed in, my only problem was they always seem to be worn with blazers. Try as I may I just can't seem to "do" a blazer, my way is of course a biker jacket, although I do have a very cute boucle jacket waiting for a outing!

I went for the Next Relaxed Skinny jeans rather than elsewhere as a good friend was so happy with her first pair she got the second in another colour! I've had the likes of Topshop Baxters in the past and I still have a great pair of River Island ones but I dip dyed them, so that's another look entirely.

These are a nice fit although I have to admit it felt slightly weird going back to a looser but not quite boyfriend fit. I do feel I could have gone down a size as they were slightly loose on my waist where I've lost some weight but I may well put it back on and  anyway they were very comfy!

Top- Topshop
Jeans- Next
Converse
Jacket- vintage
Sunglasses- Next, similar here

Worn with ankle boots, heels, sandals, tshirts, jumpers, vests -the list goes on- these will work with pretty much anything. Overall for £26 you can't really grumble!

Leather mini skater skirt, sunglases and cake

First up what a beautiful day, could we really be on our way for spring/summer!?

For anyone that follows my tweets and my blogs you will know I like a bargain and I wore one today. My latest find comes in the form of my leather mini skater skirt, yes thats right leather not pleather. Where did I find it? 《Whispers》Oxfam! Yep thats right my charity shop finds continue, this time it was cut off levi shorts in the St Albans branch that lured me in. However they were soon forgotten when I saw the skirt on the mannequin- yes I did undress it. For £8 I'm a happy girl, especially when I've been eyeing up Topshop's version and that's not even real leather!

These skirts are seriously versatile and can go with anything from a plain T-Shirt like I wore today to blouses and jumpers. So they are perfect for S/S through to Winter.

T-Shirt- Topshop
Necklace- Primark
Skirt- Oxfam
Socks- Primark (love the frilly socks right now!)
Cardigan- Topshop
Scarf- Clothes show

My sunglasses are from Next last year but these are very similar from Next. You have to have at least one pair of funky glasses for sunny days and they need not break the bank either. Sometimes it's the glasses that make the look!

For those who are wondering what Topshop skirt I was eyeing up before my find you will only find it instore. But to show what a bargain i found and why it is so worthwhile checking some charity shops this Topshop real leather skirt is £95!

If you got this far (well done) and you are wondering where these photos were taken, its the most beautiful Waddesdon Manor. It's stunning and well worth a visit, especially as the National Trust have a free weekend! It has so much to see we will have to go back again a few times to really take it in. The French Market is on this weekend too with the most amazing food!

Return of the Mac and a bargain pink jumper!

Those that read my blog here would have seen a snapshot of my bargain h&m bundle. This jumper cost a grand total of £2 in the sale, yes that's right £2!

Its a super versatile colour which would also look great with these trousers, but for today its a jeans day. I've also been wanting to wear this Mac from Next without looking like I am off to work for ages.

So here we go a look with boyfriend jeans.

Jeans - Topshop
Tshirt- Topshop
Jumper- H&M
Boots- New Look
Mac- Next
Scarf- Rubarb Hitchin

Printed trousers Day and Night 4 looks.

Right now you can pick up some bargain pieces in H&M and this is just one of mine that I wanted to share. I picked up these beauty's in store for just £7.49, that's cheaper than Primark!

I've styled them in a few different ways to show how wearable they are, I would do more but then I will run out of looks to blog later!

First up is for a evening out worn with a Black Topshop Peplum , Kurt Geiger heels and a envelope bag.

Next up is a daytime look with a Topshop sweatshirt, Topshop black flats and a denim jacket from Primark. When summer finally arrives I wear my denim jacket alot, especially with maxi dresses and skirts.

Next up I have swapped the top for a Topshop slub jersey T-shirt (primark do a great version like I'm wearing here, obviously any would match just pick out a colour from the trousers. I'm just showing with this mustard colour. For a edgy look go for a biker jacket (mine is Topshop similar here) and then a funky statement necklace, this one is Primark for a price tag of just £4. A statement necklace is great to funk up any T-shirt.

Or if thats too dressed up still and you want something for the school run days like I do today, then swap for a very on trend lightweight khaki parka again mine is Topshop and they have one very similar here. Failing that Next have this one which I really like.

Speaking of Next they also have these in the sale for just £10. Tempting.....

(Apologies for grainy photo, being a sale item I'm unable to link or provide a clearer photo than a screenshot.)
