Growing a pixie crop- photo collage!

So I'm a few months in now and chomping at the bit to lop off my hair back to a crop, but I'm hanging in there- just about anyway. The sides are the hardest bit for me, as until they grow down, once you get to the stage where you can tuck behind the ears everything gets easier. I tend to keep at the nape of the neck trimmed so I can have some style in place as it grows and you don't get that mullet effect going on!

What disturbed me when I was looking through photos to use for this blog was the fact that I have been in this same hair battle for the last 6 plus years! That's ridiculous. I can see how this has happened though, I glaze over the photos of "bad crop" and only see the "good crop". I do the exact opposite with my longer hair to give in to myself. I've got to prove to myself that I can do this, even more so to my husband. I can be patient, I have to.

So anyway I figured I would do a quick pic update on how I'm coping, that can maybe either inspire a new style for someone or help someone carry on growing too!

A few essential must haves- hair grips, alice bands, headbands, scarves and products that keep it from flopping and looking flat! Failing that a hat!

Only about 8 inches to go...... (rolls eyes)

  1. Gorgeous pictures, not many people can get away with a pixie crop but it does suit you. x

    1. Thank you. Massively tempted to not bother growing but I'll be annoyed with myself if I cut it! X

  2. Why grow it when you look stunning with short hair! Google Ginnifer Goodwin have a look at her hair - it's lovely. (Or you could ignore all of this as I am a biased short hair devotee!! Ha ha) x

    1. Haha I can always go back. It will irritate me to hell and back if I don't get to a long style that I can curl and (ironically) put up again! X

    2. Ps I've always liked ginnifers hair. I would have done that under cut of hers but decided to grow!

You really suit short hair and i think you look very edgey with it. I'm amazed at how many different styles you can get out of it, will be taking insperation from your pics. It's so hard growing hair but you will get past a certain length and feel much better about it.x

    1. Thankyou. Yes look out! You're right about getting past a certain length. I think when I hit the Bob I'm on a home straight x

  7. Keep it short! It's so much more "you" short - you have edgy style, so why have your hair the same as everyone else?

  8. Aww you look beautiful with short hair! Probably not the encouragement you need whilst you are trying to grow it out though but then I am a fellow shortie :-)

I've actually just booked a hair appointment in Lancashire at 8.30am on Saturday morning and live in Dorset lol - don't ask! We've just moved and I am missing my hair dresser.
