"Mummy's Book " Mourning

I'm a mummy in mourning, the mourning of a book.

When I am wrapped up in a book I become totally enthralled and nothing else matters. Don't get me wrong I do feed my children at the correct times and will happily give them water when I have got to the end of the page. I get greedy for knowing more and my impatient nature means I have to read it with urgency. Stupid really as I have this same situation each time I get to the end. I mourn, get angry and go back and re-read bits that I haven't taken in well enough. The last time this happened was with 50 Shades. Yes I do stop reading and think of my double life in New York with run-ins in the lift.

I don't mind admitting the fact that I fell well and truely in lust with Christian and I will be at the front of the que to see the film when it eventually hits our screens. I'm a fast reader anyway but I flew through those books, desperate to see how the story evolved. Some may say its badly written, I am certainly not complaining. Take it at face value, this book wasn't wrote to take on Pride and Prejudice.

Whilst excited mums were comparing what pages they were at in the school playground, W.H.Smith were putting up posters of an author who wanted a bit of taste of that fame. That author goes by the name of Sylvia Day. I walked past those posters and would tut at the adverts wanting a bit of 50 shade's cake. I also thought how I liked the shoe adorning the front cover. That however was besides the point surely Sylvia couldn't deliver what E. L. James had done for so many women.

That changed when on one of my bargain hunts in the Cancer Research Shop I came across "Bared to You".  At £1 I was prepared to give this Sylvia Day a chance and betray Christian. At first reading I will admit I struggled with the familiar plot that seemed to echo 50 Shades. However I stuck with it and then it got me, who knew that I would ever fancy a man with longish hair (not my type) and be called Gideon. I finished yet another book too quickly and was just as quick to download the next book in the trilogy "Reflected in You". The second book is where the story really took off and yet again I flew through it. Only to come to a abrupt halt.

On attempting to download the next and last book "Entwined with You" I was hit with the words PRE-ORDER. It got worse when I read the word JUNE. I'm sorry but what? At what point did Sylvia and the Publishers think that was a good thing to do? Oh yes great move on the publicity stunt but forget that, why is this book not already out there waiting? This is messing with a frustrated busy mummy's time, lets just hope Gideon doesn't let me down. Its a long time to wait, especially for a impatient person as me. However I will of course pre-order.

So where do I go from here? I am in book limbo.
Answers on a postcard please.
Your Sincerely
Mummy in book hell.
Edited to add... I'm trying another of Sylvia's impressive collection.
